Easter Fun!

The girls had a friend round today, so it was a good time to grab my box of Easter goodies I purchased when they were k sold off cheap last year !
The girls played really nicely to be fair, but it is hard to share, especially when it comes to sharing a friend! So it was good having a few diversions at hand!
The first one wasn't one of the bargains but it was great fun! The girls placed some baking parchment over an egg template and used some blu tack to hold it in place, they then placed a large desert spoon of melted chocolate in the centre ( I used a combination of candy melts and dairy milk) They used spoons and kebab sticks to push the chocolate into shape using the template as their guide.
Next came the fun bit! I provided a selection of sprinkles and sweets and they got stuck in decorating their eggs.
I also provided a pipe bag filled with white chocolate for them to experiment with.
We discovered it was quite tricky to move the egg with the stick in place so we moved them into the kitchen and carefully added the stick.
Rebecca's eggs were simple but look great!
Sophie had a go at piping a rabbit!
And mine!
This is one activity we will be doing again!
So once we were all cleaned up from the chocolate creations it was time to make Easter Bonnets ( for the village competition Saturday )
Buying up cut price Easter craft materials last year meant that I had lots of goodies for them to choose from, without having to spend a fortune.

Not forgetting the grown ups competition!
Beautifully modelled by Sophie!
So all our creations made a trip to the play park completed the day of perfectly!
