A year with the National Trust : Knightshayes

Knightshayes in Devon was a lovely day out, during our Easter break.

The girls had a trail to follow to help them explore the house - which got all of us looking for clues as many were quite challenging! They were then able to watch some books being cleaned and recorded which they found fascinating.

As it was holidays there were activities based on the Victorian fascination with fairies!

So wands made we headed off to find the fairies in the wood!

Momentarily distracted by masses of tadpoles!

Having found the fairies and their wands, we went for a wander in the woods and found a few larger creatures!

It was a lovely place with much to explore, some of which we didn't get too - so a return trip is definatly in the plans next time we are in Devon.
